PejavaCommander is a keyboard-first two-panel file manager for the desktop. Your own shell lives under the panels, every key and color is yours to change, and new features arrive as plugins without a restart.

Pick your system. Settings, palettes and keys live in your home folder, so reinstalling never loses them.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgand drag PejavaCommander to Applications. - Start it from Launchpad or Spotlight (⌘ Space, type “Pejava”).
- If macOS says the app is from an unidentified developer, right-click it in Applications and choose Open once.
- Grant Full Disk Access in System Settings → Privacy & Security if you want to browse protected folders.
- Run
PejavaCommander-Setup.exe. It installs for the current user, no admin rights needed. - If SmartScreen appears, click More info → Run anyway (the preview is not code-signed yet).
- Start PejavaCommander from the Start menu.
- AppImage:
chmod +x PejavaCommander-*.AppImage, then run it. - Debian / Ubuntu:
sudo apt install ./pejava-commander_*_amd64.deb - Fedora / openSUSE:
sudo dnf install ./pejava-commander-*.x86_64.rpm
